Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that Mumbai Indians (MI) star wicketkeeper and opening batsman Ishan Kishan has been fined 10 percent of his match fee for violating the Indian Premier League (IPL) code of conduct. Although the exact reason for imposing the fine on Kishan was not given, it was said that the MI batsman has accepted the offense under Section 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct.
BCCI said in a statement, “Ishan Kishan has committed a Level 1 offense under Section 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct. “He has pleaded guilty and accepted the punishment of the match referee.”
