New Delhi, October 18 (Read News). Fastag Annual Pass can be given to someone as a great festive gift on Diwali. State-owned National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Saturday said that Fastag annual pass can now be gifted to anyone through the Highway Yatra app.

Making travel easy and comfortable, the Fastag Annual Pass can be a great gift for travelers this festive season, providing them the opportunity for hassle-free travel throughout the year on National Highways and National Expressways across the country, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement.

The ministry said that the annual pass can be gifted through the Highway Travel App. For this, by clicking on the ‘Add Pass’ option on the app, users can add the vehicle number and contact details of the person to whom they want to gift the Fastag Annual Pass. After a simple OTP verification the annual pass will be activated on the Fastag linked to that vehicle.

According to the ministry, the Fastag Annual Pass provides a seamless and affordable travel option to national highway users and is applicable at approximately 1,150 toll plazas across India. The annual pass eliminates the need to repeatedly recharge Fastag through one-year validity i.e. one-time fee payment of Rs 3,000 for 200 toll plaza crossings.

The ministry said that this pass is applicable for all non-commercial vehicles with valid Fastag. After paying the one-time fee through the Highway Yatra app, the annual pass is activated within two hours on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle.

It is noteworthy that the Fastag Annual Pass, launched on August 15, 2025, crossed the historic figure of 25 lakh users by registering approximately 5.67 crore transactions within two months of its launch.
