Shimla, October 18 (Read News). The weather pattern is going to change after Diwali in Himachal Pradesh. At present, the sky is clear and sunny in the entire state, but after Diwali, there is a possibility of increase in cold and snowfall in high altitude areas. According to Meteorological Center Shimla, due to activation of western disturbance on October 21 and 22, there may be light rain and snowfall in the upper hilly areas of the state. At the same time, the weather will remain dry in the plains and central hilly districts these days.
At present, the weather in the state has been clear for the last two weeks and slight humidity is being felt during the day. The coldness has started increasing in the morning and evening. In tribal areas the mercury has reached close to zero degree Celsius. Even today there is bright sunshine in all the districts including the capital Shimla. However, there was dense fog in Sundernagar of Mandi district in the morning and visibility was limited to only 100 meters.
The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain clear in the entire state till Diwali, which will be celebrated on October 20 this time. The weather is expected to remain clear in the entire state again on 23rd and 24th October.
In the first week of October itself, the first snowfall of the season has occurred in these high altitude areas, due to which the temperature of the entire state has fallen. Now once again there is a possibility of increase in cold with snowfall.
