Ranchi, October 16 (Read News). The traffic police has taken action against vehicle owners who tamper with the vehicle number. Traffic SP Rakesh Singh said on Thursday that information was being received that many people were driving by tampering with the number plates of their vehicles. In this regard, a special campaign was launched in all traffic police station areas.

During the checking campaign, vehicles were thoroughly checked. During the investigation, action was taken against 18 vehicle owners under the Motor Vehicles Act for vehicles having wrong number plates.

The SP has appealed that people should use their vehicles only after getting their registration number properly mentioned on the number plate under the Motor Vehicles Act. He said that this campaign will continue continuously.
