Bangladesh had a chance to beat South Africa, but they failed to capitalise on crucial moments, with the Proteas registering a three-wicket win, their third on the trot in the ICC Women’s World Cup.
Chasing 233 runs, South Africa were in all sorts of trouble, but a superb fifty by Chloe Tryon (62), Marizanne Kapp (56) and Nadine de Klerk (37*) took the team home in 49.3 overs.
Earlier, Bangladesh posted 232/6 in the allotted 50 overs. Shorna Akter ( 51*) and Sharmin Akhter (50) batted well for the sub-continent team.
