Delhi: In the 14th match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, South Africa defeated Bangladesh by 3 wickets in a thrilling match. This match was played at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. At the beginning of the match, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 232 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Batting first, Bangladesh scored 232 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs. The team had scored 28 runs in the powerplay and then gradually increased the run rate. Sharmin Akhtar and captain Nigar Sultana played important innings. Sharmin scored 50 and Nigar scored 32 runs. Shorna Akhtar played an unbeaten inning of 51 runs, which included 3 fours and 3 sixes. In the end, Ritu Moni scored unbeaten 19 runs with the help of 3 fours in 8 balls and took the team beyond 230.
