Mitchell Marsh said playing against the world No. 1 India is great preparation for the Ashes. He spoke about the strong rivalry between the two teams and said the timing of the series gives them a good chance to work on their game and build confidence. In an interview with foxsports.com.au, Marsh explained why this series matters before the Tests.

“We’ll have all the guys building towards the Ashes, but everyone loves playing against India,” Marsh said.

“We share a strong rivalry and deep respect for India as a team. The timing of this series, just before the Ashes, couldn’t have been better.

It’s going to be a huge event,” he added.

India’s upcoming tour will see star batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli returning to action, with ODIs set to take place in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney.
