Delhi: On the fourth day of the second Test match being played between India and West Indies, the spectators got to see an exciting game. When the West Indies team was struggling in its second innings, Jaden Seales and Justin Greaves created history by making a brilliant partnership for the 10th wicket.

Together they made a partnership of 79 runs and left the Indian bowlers tired. This partnership was not only important for West Indies, but also became one of the biggest partnerships for the 10th wicket against India.

Special records to the partnership of Seales and Greaves:

  • This is the first time since 2017 that a team has had a partnership of more than 50 runs for the 10th wicket against India.
  • Earlier in 2017, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood had made a 55-run partnership against India in Pune.
  • In 2010, Moises Henriques and Nathan Lyon added 66 runs against India in the Chennai Test.
  • Now the 79-run partnership of Greaves and Seals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi has left these records behind.

Seales and Greaves fought till the end for the last wicket, due to which West Indies’ second innings score ended at 390. India got the target of 121 runs to win. Yashasvi Jaiswal was out early. After this, KL Rahul and SAI Sudarshan played cautiously and ended the day with a score of 63/1. India now needs only 58 more runs to win, while the team has 9 wickets left.
