Sai Sudharsan took a stunning catch on Day 2 of the second Test between India and the West Indies. Sai was stationed at short leg and grabbed the ball to dismiss the Windies opener John Campbell on Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling. However, he suffered an injury. India declared their first innings at 518/5, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill scoring hundreds.

Campbell and Tagenarine Chanderpaul opened the innings. Jadeja provided the hosts with the breakthrough, dismissing the batter.

Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to bat first. KL Rahul and Jaiswal opened the innings, with the former scoring 38 runs.

Sudharsan amassed 87 runs and shared a 243-run stand with Jaiswal. The young southpaw was run out after scoring 175 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy managed 49 runs while Dhruv Jurel posted 44 runs. Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 129 runs with India declaring the innings at 518/5.

India are leading the series 1-0, following their victory by an innings and 140 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
