The journey that started from Ahmedabad has now reached the country's capital New Delhi.

Team India is going to take the field against West Indies from Friday 10th October in the second match of its second series of the World Test Championship. In just about three days (two and a half days) in Ahmedabad, captain Shubman Gill's team had finished the West Indies game by an innings as per expectations. There is little possibility that this story will change in the capital. But will the Indian team make some changes in the playing-11 for this match?

There was a lot of rain in the national capital in the last 2-3 days, due to which the weather here has suddenly become cold.

However, there is no forecast of rain on the first day of the match on Friday and the temperature will be between 25 to 29 degrees after 9 am till 4:30 pm. That means perfect weather for a test match. A little wind is expected here in the morning and in such a situation, fast bowlers are sure to get help here in the morning. But despite this, batting first in Delhi would be a better option.

The number of fans in this match, which is going to be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium, is expected to be more than the first Test match. Earlier in 2023, a match was played here between India and Australia and a lot of spectators had come there.

But this time there are no stars like Delhi's 'desi boys' Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, so will the number of spectators reach last time, will it be worth seeing. Still, this match will be special in itself because Team India has not lost on this ground for the last 38 years.

Team India has not lost a single test match on Delhi grounds in the last 38 years. During this period, the name of Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium may have been changed to Arun Jaitley Stadium, but even today this ground has become an impregnable fort for Team India like the Kotla Fort situated next to it.

Team India had its last defeat here in 1987. Since then, India played 13 Tests here and won 11, while 2 were drawn. Incidentally, the last defeat came against West Indies only.

However, there is a big difference between the West Indies team of 1987 and the Caribbean team of 2025 and this difference is so much that even if Team India makes some major changes in its playing-11 for the Delhi Test, its victory can be guaranteed from the first day itself. But will Team India really make a change? Special attention will be on star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, whose workload remains a constant topic of discussion.

Bumrah played the first test match, which ended within 3 days. In such a situation, he has got 5 days' rest. Still there is a possibility that he can be laid to rest here. If this happens then the famous Krishna may get a chance here. Anyway, the Delhi pitch has been helpful to the spinners. It is a different matter that this time the pitch is expected to be good for the batsmen as well and in such a situation the West Indies batsmen may have a chance to stay at the crease.

India's probable playing-11

Shubman Gill (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudarshan, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna.
