Overview:

Virat and Rohit have retired from T20Is, and they will not feature in the five games.

Ajit Agarkar, the chief selector, recently announced the ODI and T20I teams for the tour of Australia. As expected, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are a part of the fifty-over format squad as they are only active in one format. The two last played for India in March when the Men in Blue lifted the ICC Champions Trophy. The selectors sacked Rohit from ODI captaincy and handed over the armband to Shubman Gill.

Shreyas Iyer is the new vice-captain. The fans are waiting to see Rohit and Virat in action. Here are the details of their return.

Rohit and Virat will play the first ODI on October 19. The series opener will be held in Perth before the action shifts to Adelaide for the second contest, which is scheduled on October 23. The Adelaide Oval will host the game.

The two teams will then move to the Sydney Cricket Ground for the third and final one-day international on October 25. All the matches will start at 9:00 AM IST. Virat and Rohit have retired from T20Is, and they will not feature in the five games.

India vs Australia T20I matches

The two teams will clash in five T20Is. Suryakumar Yadav’s team will play the first game at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on October 29. The Melbourne Cricket Ground is the venue of the second encounter on October 31. The Bellerive Oval will host the third T20I on November 2.

The action will shift to the Gold Coast for the fourth game on November 6 before The Gabba hosts the two teams on November 8.
