-West Indies team still behind India 220 runs back

Ahmedabad, 4 October (Read News). On the third day of the first Test match being played against the West Indies at the Narendra Modi Stadium here, India completely dominated the morning session. The Indian team is now 5 wickets away from the victory, while the West Indies still need 220 runs to avoid the defeat of the innings.

This morning, the Indian team declared their score for 5 wickets for 448 runs.

The West Indies team, which was lagging behind by 286 runs, started in the second innings. Mohammad Siraj gave India the first success by dismissing Tegh Narayan Chandrapaul (08) on a total score of 12. Nitish Reddy caught Chandrapaul’s best catch on Skor leg.

After this, Ravindra Jadeja first dismissed John Campbell (14) and then Brandon King (05) and took the West Indies score for 34 runs. Kuldeep Yadav bowled captain Roston Chase (01) and gave India a fourth success. On a total score of 46, Jadeja dismissed Sai Hope (01) and gave India the fifth success.

From here Elik Ethanase (27 not out) and Justin Greaves (10 not out) did not allow any more damage. West Indies have scored 66 runs for 5 wickets for lunch and are still behind India by 220 runs.

Indian team declared first innings by scoring 448 runs for 5 wickets

Earlier, opener K.L. Thanks to the centuries of Rahul, young wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurael and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, India had scored 448 runs for 5 wickets till the end of the second day’s play and today declared the innings on the same score on the third day and took a huge lead of 286 runs on the basis of first innings.

For India, KL Rahul played 100, Dhruv Jurlel 125 and Ravindra Jadeja played an outstanding century of 104* runs. At the same time, Captain Shubman Gill also played an excellent half -century innings of 50 runs.

The first innings of the West Indies was reduced to just 162 runs.
