Kuldeep Yadav’s Magical Spell Powers India’s 41 Run Win Against Bangladesh

Kuldeep Yadav, along with Indian bowlers, helped guide India’s 41-run victory in the Super 4s clash against Bangladesh on September 24 at Dubai.

They went on to post restrict Bangladesh for 127 runs and successfully defended their total confirming India’s berth in the finals of the Asia Cup 2025.

After being put to bat first, Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill went on for a slow start. However, they picked up the pace in the 4th over as they went on to score 72 runs in the power play.

Rishad Hossain went on to get the first breakthrough bagging the wicket of Gill for 29 runs and he went on to get his second wicket dismissing Shivam Dube for 2 runs.

However, Abhishek Sharma went on to score 75 runs in 37 deliveries which included 6 fours and 5 sixes.

With Abhishek’s dismissal on a run out and Suryakumar Yadav (5 runs) dismissal by Mustafizur, India lost 4 wickets for 114 runs.

Tilak Varma also lost his wicket on quick interval, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel went on to take the score cross 150 run mark.

With Hardik Pandya’s 38 runs and Axar Patel’s 10* runs, India went on post 168 runs total in their 20 over innings.

Rishad Hossain bagged two wickets while Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin picked one wickets each.

In the pursuit of chasing 169 run target, Saif Hassan and Tanzid Hasan Tamim opened the innings while Hardik Pandya opened the attack.

After Jasprit Bumrah picked the wicket of Tanzid Hasan Tamim for 1 run, Saif Hassan and Parvez Hossain went on to score 44 runs in the powerplay.

Kuldeep Yadav who introduced into attack after the powerplay went on to bag the wicket of Parvez Hossain for 21 runs.

Indian spinners began to taunt Bangladesh batters picking wickets on regular dismissals.

Varun Chakravarthy went on to bag the wickets of Shamim Hossain and Saifuddin for 0 and 4 respectively.

On the other hand Kuldeep Yadav bagged the wickets of Rishad Hossain and Tanzim Hasan for 2 and duck respectively while Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Saif Hassan leaving Bangladesh with tatter on the chase with their last wicket.

Tilak Varma picked the final wicket for India dismissing Mustafizur Rahman in the final over and bowled out Bangladesh for 127 runs.
