Ramgarh, 24 September (Read News). A marathon was organized on Wednesday to convey the message of cleanliness, collective participation and fitness in the district.

Awareness was spread through this program organized by the city council under the Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan. Messages like the importance of cleanliness during the marathon, encouraging all classes, participating in physical activities were given. A separate race was organized between men and women. In the men’s category, first Suraj Nayak, second Sudhir Kumar and third Omprakash Bedia were the winners.

In the female category, first Riya Kumari, second Nandani Kumari and third Lakshmi Kumari were the winners. City manager Rajiv Ranjan said that the winners will be rewarded on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. City Council Executive Officer Ajmal Hussain thanked all the participants, colleagues and residents for this successful organization.

At the same time, he said that we will continue to spread awareness about cleanliness and health through such events.
