SL vs BAN Playing 11: Charith Asalanka-led Sri Lanka will square off against Litton Das-led Bangladesh in the 1st match of the Super Fours in the Asia Cup 2025 on September 20 at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are set to face each other once against in the Asia Cup 2025 tournament. Sri Lanka secured a six wicket victory in the group stage games against Bangladesh and will be aiming to replicate the success in the upcoming clash.

Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has met on 21 occasions in the T20I format where Sri Lanka has 13 games while Bangladesh has won on 8 games.

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to Bowl first. Speaking at the toss, Litton Das said, “We’ll bowl first. When I saw the first leg, all the matches were won by the teams batting second. Also, unsure about the pitch. We are excited to play the game. Two changes. Sohan and Rishad not playing.”

Meanwhile Charith Asalanka said, “We would have done the same thing. It’s a used pitch. Lot of young players have come into the side since 2021 and are maturing. We are going with the same team.”
