New Delhi, 21 September (Read News). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will visit the US on Monday 22 September for a business talks. An official delegation under his leadership will also attend the meeting with the American side.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a statement saying that under the leadership of Goyal, special secretary of the ministry Rajesh Aggarwal and other senior officials will also be part of this delegation. During the tour, the Commerce Minister will meet the US team and try to carry forward the trade agreement.

According to the ministry, the purpose of this visit is to accelerate discussion on mutually beneficial trade agreement between India and the US. It is noteworthy that earlier a team of officers of the US Business Representative Office came to India on 16 September, where there was a positive discussion on various issues and it was decided to intensify the talks.

Goyal’s visit is happening at a time when the US has recently announced to increase the fees of H-1B visa.
