Delhi: The 11th match of the Asia Cup 2025 was played between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, in which Sri Lanka showed a brilliant game and defeated the Afghan team by 6 wickets to drop him out of the tournament. Also ensured its place in Super-4.

Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first. It was very important for Afghanistan to win this match, because with a win they could confirm their place in Super-4.

Charith Asanka: I would do the same. We have talked about our middle order batting, we have two great openers and it is beneficial for us. We have to improve our middle order batting. We want to implement more than talking. We have made a change – Vellalage has been included in place of Thakshana.

Rashid Khan: We would like to bat first. It is important to score runs on this wicket. This is an important match, we have to keep it simple and the basics will have to keep it right.
