Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets as Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 8 runs in the Asia Cup 2025. Chasing 156/5, Afghanistan were dismissed for 146 runs in 20 overs. With the win, Litton Das finished the group stage with two wins out of three matches and are in contention for the Super Four stages.
Taskin Ahmed, Nasum Ahmed and Rishad Hossain claimed two wickets each. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (35), Azmatullah Omarzai (30) and Rashid Khan (20) were among the runs for the Afghans.
Earlier, Tanzid Hasan’s 52 runs off 31 balls took Bangladesh to 154/5.Rashid and Noor Ahmad dismissed two batters each.
