Yuvraj Singh entered the record books when he hit Stuart Broad for 6 sixes in one over during the India vs England match in the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa. The southpaw also completed 50 runs off 12 balls, which was the then fastest fifty record. Since then no other batter has been able to match Yuvaraj’s record in the global tournament.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in the West Indies and the USA in June. Andre Russell, Jos Buttler and several others big hitters will compete in the new edition of the T20 World Cup.
However, Yuvraj Singh thinks Team India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya will slam 6 sixes in one over in the upcoming ICC event.
“Hardik Pandya is likely to hit 6 sixes in one over in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024,” Yuvraj Singh.
Hardik is leading Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2024. However, his return to MI and the captaincy stint haven’t gone as per plan. The five-time champions have lost five matches while winning just three contests.
The batting and bowling departments haven’t been able to contribute, with only Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah showing their class.
Pandya has flopped with the bat, while his bowling has been taken apart by the rival franchises. Several former players don’t want the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee to pick the Baroda-based player in the World Cup team.
