England now, against Full Member teams, has taken away the title of biggest score from India.
Delhi: India’s 297 -run score against Bangladesh in T20 International cricket was the biggest total against a full member team, but England broke the record by scoring 304 runs against South Africa.
In Manchester, England’s stormy innings was started by Phil Salt and captain Jose Butler. Salt hit an unbeaten 141 runs in just 60 balls, while Butler scored an explosive innings of 83 runs off just 30 balls.
Jacob Bethel and Harry Brook also made small, but significant contributions, due to which England crossed the 300 mark. After the innings, Butler said, “A score of 300? I never thought that I would be able to see so, it is incredible.”
