India defeated the UAE by 9 wickets in their first match against the UAE. Chasing 58 runs, Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill went after the bowlers, with the former amassing 30 runs off 16 balls, laced with 3 sixes and 2 fours. On the other hand, vice-captain Gill posted 20 runs off 9 balls, with the help of 2 fours and 1 six. The Men in Blue completed the chase in 4.3 overs.

Earlier, the UAE were dismissed for 57 runs in 13.1 overs, with Kuldeep Yadav (4 wickets) and Shivam Dube (3 wickets) proving unplayable.
