Lucknow: The 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Eden Garden. In this match, Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl first. KKR's performance this season has been excellent and they have won 5 out of 7 matches played so far and along with this, they are also present at the second position in the points table. On the other hand, Punjab has faced defeat in many close matches and has won only 2 out of 8 matches and is also present at 9th position in the points table.
The biggest matter of concern for Punjab is that the team is not getting a good start this season. Shikhar Dhawan is currently injured and in his place star all-rounder Sam Curran is captaining the team but he has not been able to bring much success to the team.
