The Young talent Yastika Bhatia has been ruled out of the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 after sustaining an injury to her left knee during India’s preparatory camp.
“Yastika Bhatia sustained an injury to her left knee during India’s preparatory camp in Vizag,” BCCI said in a statement. “The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring Yastika Bhatia’s progress and the team wishes Yastika Bhatia a speedy recovery.”
Yastika Bhatia’s inclusion for the Women’s World Cup comes on the back of the 24-year old wk-batter notching up scores of 59, 66 and 42 in the India A game against three-match unofficial one-day series against Australia A.
The BCCI has named Uma Chetry as the replacement for Yastika Bhatia who has featured in seven T20Is.
