Jordan Cox Included in England Squad for Ireland Tour

The 24-year-old Jordan Cox has been recalled to the England Squad for the Ireland T20I, which was confirmed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Wednesday.

Joran Cox has represented England in 2 T20Is and three ODIs and received the late call-up to the squad after his impressive form in the recently concluded The Hundred 2025.

He finished as the leading run-getter in the tournament, accumulating 367 runs in nine innings at a hefty average of 61.6 with the help of three fifties.

Jacob Bethell has been named as the captain with regular white-ball captain Harry Brook rested for the three-match T20I series.

“Jacob Bethell has impressed with his leadership qualities ever since he has been with the England squads and the series against Ireland will provide him with opportunity to futher develop those skills on the international stage,” said England Men’s Selector Luke Wright.

Bethell is set to becom the youngest England Men’s team captain. The current holder of the feat is Monty Bowden, who captained England at 23 year old and 144 days in a test against South Africa in Cape Town back in 1888/89.

Pacer Sonny Baker has been received his maiden call-up to the England squad for the ODI series against South Africa as well as the Ireland T20Is.

The first match of the T20I series will begin on September 17 at The Village.
