Delhi: The 41st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 was played on Thursday between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In this, RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and chose to bat. After this the guests scored 206 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. In this, Virat Kohli scored the maximum 51 runs and Rajat Patidar scored 50 runs.

Chasing the target of 207 runs, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were the openers for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Head was out after scoring one run in the first over. Then Abhishek Sharma (31 runs), Aiden Markram (7 runs) and Heinrich Klaasen (7 runs) also could not do anything special. Apart from him, Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 13 runs and Abdul Samad scored 10 runs. After this, captain Pat Cummins scored 31 runs including 3 sixes and a four, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar was out after scoring 13 runs, while Shahbaz Ahmed remained unbeaten after scoring 40* off 37 balls including a four and a six. In the end Jaydev Unadkat scored 8 runs. Due to this, Sunrisers team could score only 171 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs and lost by 35 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad players, who had hit sixes and fours in every match till now, lost wickets continuously in this match. Apart from this, Head, Abhishek and Klaasen, famous for their stormy batting, were out early. Seeing this, teammate Kavya Maran gave a different reaction. Like Hyderabad fans, Kavya also expected that SRH's big hitters would easily win against RCB's weak bowling line-up, but it did not happen. Head-Sharma created history
Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma created history against Delhi Capitals (DC). Both the openers scored a record 125 runs in the powerplay in the first 6 overs. This is the biggest powerplay score in IPL history. Earlier this record was in the name of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In IPL 2017, Kolkata scored 105 runs in 6 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). With this, Sunrisers Hyderabad has become the team scoring the most runs in powerplay overs in IPL history. In this match, Abhishek Sharma scored 46 runs on 12 balls, while Travis Head scored 89 runs on 32 balls.
