PM Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “Congratulations on National Sports Day. On this special occasion, we pay tribute to Major Dhyanchand. Their excellence will continue to inspire generations. ”

He said that there has been a significant change in the sports scenario of India in the last decade.

The Prime Minister said, “From grassroots programs to the creation of young talents to the creation of world class facilities, we are watching a lively sports ecosystem in our country.”

He said, “Our government is committed to supporting players, building infrastructure and making India a global center of sports excellence.”
