Rohit Sharma celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with his family in Mumbai. The star batter was seen praying alongside his parents and brother.

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated across India on August 27, and the 10-day festival will conclude on September 6.

Rohit Sharma was last seen in action for the Mumbai Indians during the Indian Premier League 2025. The right-handed batter was in good form, amassing 418 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 149.28. Punjab Kings defeated the five-time champions in Qualifier 2.

Rohit announced his retirement from Test cricket before the England tour. He is only active in one-day internationals.

“Hello everyone, I would just like to share that I am retiring from Test cricket. It’s been an absolute honour to represent my country in whites. Thank you for all the love and support over the years. I will continue to represent India in the ODI format,” he wrote.

Shubman Gill was appointed India’s new Test captain after Sharma’s retirement. Rohit could be seen in action during the October three-match ODI series against Australia.

The first ODI starts in Perth in October. The second and third ODIs will be played in Adelaide (October 23) and Sydney (October 25).
