Delhi: Cheteshwar Pujara, a trusted batsman of Indian Test cricket, announced his retirement from international cricket on 24 August. 37 -year -old Pujara played 103 Test matches for India and scored 7195 runs. His name is 19 centuries and his average was more than 43.

Pujara said on his retirement

For the last two years, Pujara was walking out of Team India and now he decided to retire without any regret. Talking to the media in his hometown, he said, “There is no regrets. I got a chance to play for India for a long time, which everyone does not get. I am grateful to my family and all people who always supported me.”

Pujara further said that now he will not play on the field, but will be connected with cricket. He has already commented in the England series and wants to make a career in the future as well. He said, “It would be a matter of pride for me to see and talk about the Indian team.”

Told about mother’s dream

Pujara described the historic Australia series of 2018-19 as the most memorable moment of his career, where he scored 521 runs by scoring three centuries. He also remembered his debut when veterans like Sachin, Dravid and Laxman were with him in the dressing room.

He also remembered his mother and said, “Mother always used to say that son will play for India one day. Today his dream is fulfilled.” Pujara also thanked his spiritual guru Haricharan Das ji who taught him to be calm in every difficult time.
