Real money gaming companies have now opened a front regarding this bill. According to the report of NDTV Profit, the main sponsors of the Indian cricket team Dream11, Gameskraft and other companies are preparing to challenge this law in court.

Companies will file a case against the government

It is being told that companies can file a writ petition in the Karnataka High Court. They are now deciding whether to file a case personally or take action under a federation. A source told NDTV that this petition could be filed by next week.

Gameskraft said in a statement, “We are monitoring and following the changes happening in the law. At the moment we have closed our Rummi platform.”

This case has come to light at a time when there is a big threat to the valuation of this sector. Companies like Dream11, Gameskraft, Winzo may suffer heavy losses.

This law of the government has passed from both houses of Parliament and now the President’s approval is awaited. Real Money Gaming will become completely illegal in India after getting approval.

According to the PTI report, the industry is about $ 25 billion and employs 2 lakh people. It earns ₹ 31,000 crore every year and pays ₹ 20,000 crore tax.
