Pujara in his post thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Saurashtra Cricket Association. He said, “I am grateful to the BCCI and Saurashtra Cricket Association who gave me a chance in my cricket career. I am also grateful to all the teams, franchises and county teams for whom I played. Without my gurus, coaches and gurus, I can’t reach here. Thank you all.”

Cheteshwar Pujara’s Test career was very good. Pujara scored 7195 runs for India at an average of 43.60 in 103 Tests. During this, he scored 19 centuries and 35 half -centuries. Pujara played his last match for India in the final of the World Test Championship in the year 2023. Pujara scored 41 runs in that match against Australia. After this, Pujara was dropped from the team.

Pujara also played 5 ODIs for India, in which he scored 51 runs. Pujara made his Test debut against Australia in October 2010. Pujara made ODI debut against Zimbabwe in August 2013.
