Rayudu mentioned that Rajasthan’s current head coach, Rahul Dravid, will prove beneficial for the player.
Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu heaped praise on 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who scored a hundred for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2025. He suggested that the young player talk to legendary batter Brian Lara.
The southpaw amassed 101 off 38 balls with seven fours and 11 sixes as RR completed a target of 210 with 25 balls left against the Gujarat Titans.
“He has a good bat speed, and I hope his bat whip is not changed by anyone. He should talk to Brian Lara, who had a similar bat lift. He can learn about controlling the bat speed while defending and playing with soft hands. If he learns that, he will achieve a lot,” Rayudu told Shubhankar Mishra.
Rayudu believes Suryavanshi can become one of the finest players. “He shouldn’t listen to many people. He should back his talent. Coaches shouldn’t give him too many suggestions,” he added.
Rayudu mentioned that Rajasthan’s current head coach, Rahul Dravid, will prove beneficial for the player.
“He is lucky that Rahul Dravid is with him. He will take care of the young batter,” he concluded. He recently represented India A in England.
