Reigning champions Chennai Super Kings are placed third in the points table with 4 wins in their first 6 matches. CSK is playing very well especially under the leadership of new captain Ruduraj. This time Bangladesh's star fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman is playing for the Chennai team for the first time.

When he made his debut against India and when he collided with Rohit Sharma while running, the fans will never forget the response given to him by the then captain MS Dhoni.

Announcement: However, currently playing with Dhoni, he has taken 10* wickets in 5 matches and contributed to the victory of Chennai team. Especially in the first match against Bengaluru, he took 4 wickets and won the Man of the Match award. But the fact that he could not play in the match due to visa clearance was a blow to the Chennai team.

In that case, Bangladesh will play a 5-match T20I series against Zimbabwe on their home ground to prepare for the 2024 T20 World Cup starting soon. Mustafizur Rahman has been selected in the Bangladesh team for the series starting from May 3, hence he has become completely unable to play in the IPL series.

In this case, Bangladesh board has announced that they will allow them to play in the IPL series till May 1 as per the request of CSK management. Deputy Manager of the country's board, Shariyar Nafees, said these things in this regard.

“We had asked Mustafizur to return to the country after playing the IPL series till April 30.”

But Chennai team has a match on 1st May. Therefore, we are extending his leave till May 1 as per the request of Chennai and BCCI management.” In other words, the Bangladesh board has said that they will allow Rahman to play only as an extra in the match against the Punjab team on May 1 as per the request of CSK and BCCI administration.
