IPL 2026 Auction: The Indian Premier League is still a long time in the beginning of 2026, but the discussions about this season have already intensified. There have been reports about the trade of IPL 2026 for the last few days and the franchisees have started preparing for the upcoming mini auction.
In the mini auction, some players receive heavy money, because many teams need players but available players are less. In this episode, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has made a big prediction about this time’s most expensive player.
Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said during his channel’s conversation that this time some players, especially all -rounders, are going to be monitored by many teams in the mini auction. According to him, players like Mitchell Owen, Ben Stokes and Cameron Green can get a huge amount, in which Cameron Green can be very expensive.
He said, “You have Mitchell Owen, who was a replacement player for three matches for Punjab Kings. Then you have players like Cameron Green, who are coming to auction. Such foreign all-rounders will sell at a big price. Mini auction will be a game of Rs 25-30 crore for all teams.”
According to Ravi Ashwin, there will be a shortage of Indian players in this upcoming auction, while many Australian players will be available. He said, “This will be a mini auction where Indian players will be difficult to achieve. Probably only new players will come. Expensive players will be foreigners. If any franchise releases a big Indian player then it will be a very risky step. The auction will include many Australian players in the auction.”
Ben Stokes and Cameron were not available due to Green injury during the IPL 2025 auction. This is why they can participate in auction this time. Cameron Green is currently in great form in T20 format, due to which many teams can follow them.
