The five-match test series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy came to a dramatic end, and it also set a new benchmark in digital viewership.

Over 170 million viewers tuned into JioHotstar, making it the most-watched Test series ever on a digital platform.

The dramatic finale at The Oval saw the fifth day of the fifth test reach a peak viewership of 13 million, setting a new record for a Test match streamed online.

Fueled by nail biting moments and dramatic altercations, the series has captivated Indian audiences, who collectively timed out for 65 billion minutes of watch time in JioHotstar, watched Test series ever on digital platform.

The blockbuster series marked a major shift in the India’s test cricket including a leadership and a renewed focus on red-ball dominance.

To expand its reach, the coverage was presented in five languages, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.

The five match test series is now the most-viewed red-ball series on digital platforms, while the fifth test was the most watched red-ball clash on digital platforms.

On the fifth day of the encounter, it displayed the highest peak concurrency on digital for a five day game.

The opening clash of the series at Leeds in Headingley peak took 1-0 lead as they chased 373 runs with five wickets in hand in the fourth innings, despite the Indian team putting several individual centuries on the board in the first innings.

India made a stron comeback a 336-run victory at Edgbaston before the home side got their lead back at Lord’s by 22 runs.

The fourth match of the series played at Manchester was drawn after the visitors showed an incredible batting performance from Jadeja and Sundar who knocked centuries in the middle order.

In the fifth test, Mohammed Siraj helped the side to clinch victory to end the series at 2-2.
