Delhi: The day of Sunday, August 10, was disappointing for the Bangladesh cricket team, which is preparing for the Asia Cup 2025. Almost all the players of the team failed in the fitness test, only one player crossed the standards. This situation is a major setback for team management, as the tournament is to start in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 9 September and this time it will be played in T20 format.

Players gasped in 1600 meter race

A fitness test of 22 players was conducted under the supervision of new strength and conditioning coach Nathan Keli. Earlier, where the fitness of the players was tested by the Yo-Yo or Beep Test, this time the 1600 meter race and a 40 meter sprint were organized.

According to reports, fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Tanveer Islam and Shamim Patwari took about 8 minutes to complete the 1600 meter race.

At the same time, only Nahid Rana shocked everyone by completing the race in 5 minutes 31 seconds.

  • Mushfiqur Rahim – 6 minutes 10 seconds
  • Tanjim Hasan Saqib – 5 minutes 53 seconds
  • Shahadat Hussain Deepu – 6 minutes
