Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant's explosive performance continues in IPL 2024. In the match played against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday (April 24), Pant played a stormy innings of unbeaten 88 runs in 43 balls, during which he hit 5 fours and 8 sixes.

On the basis of this innings of Pant, Delhi achieved a thrilling 4-run victory against Gujarat and the team has reached sixth position in the points table. Pant's Delhi now has 8 points and is behind Chennai Super Kings only in terms of net run rate. Pant made a unique world record in his name with this half-century innings.

Pant has become the player to score the most runs against a bowler in a T20 match. 26 year old Pant scored 62 runs in 18 balls against Indian fast bowler Mohit Sharma in this match. In which he hit 7 fours and 3 sixes. This is the first time in T-20 that a batsman has scored more than 60 runs against one bowling.

Earlier this record was in the name of Pakistan's Usman Khan, who while playing for Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super League 2024, scored 54 runs in 18 balls against Quetta Gladiators bowler Qais Ahmed.

Apart from this, Pant has become the third player to score 50 or more runs against a bowler in an IPL match. Earlier in 2013, Virat Kohli had scored 52 runs in 17 balls against Umesh Yadav and in 2017, Hashim Amla had scored 51 runs in 16 balls against the bowling of Lasith Malinga.

Mohit gave 73 runs in his quota of four overs in this match, which is the most runs conceded by a bowler in an IPL match. In this, Pant had scored 30 runs against Mohit in the last over of Delhi's innings.
