Overview:

India’s bowlers have faced challenges throughout the series. During the Manchester Test, England accumulated 650-plus runs in their only innings.

Ajinkya Rahane has pointed out a crucial concern for the Indian team as they head into the final Test of the series against England. He commented after India’s narrow escape in Manchester, where they batted for nearly two full days to secure a draw.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Rahane pointed out a critical issue with the Indian team. While the batting lineup has performed admirably, he believes the bowling attack has not yet shown its full potential as a unit.

“The Indian team is performing well, and the batting unit has been exceptional. However, the concern lies with the bowling department. While a few bowlers are doing well, they aren’t receiving the necessary support,” Rahane mentioned on his YouTube channel.

India’s bowlers have faced challenges throughout the series. During the Manchester Test, England accumulated 650-plus runs in their only innings. Without the heroic centuries from Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar, India would have lost the game.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that India’s bowling strength was depleted during the Manchester Test due to injuries to Nitish Kumar Reddy and Akash Deep.

The below-par performance of the bowling attack might also be linked to the team’s selection decisions. Gautam Gambhir has faced criticism for not being more bold in his choices regarding the playing XI.
