The Indian cricket team began the year 2025 on a high note, defeating New Zealand by 4 wickets in the Champions Trophy Final in Dubai.

Before that, they convincingly defeated England in the white-ball series held at home. Following IPL 2025, India men’s cricket team is now in England, participating in a five-match Test series.

England won the first Test, India bounced back to win second to level series 1-1 but they failed to maintain the momentum and lost a thrilling encounter at Lord’s in 3rd Test - giving England a 2-1 lead.

India will now aim to avoid a series defeat, as losing could impact their chances early in the 2025–27 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. Meanwhile, the Asia Cup 2025 schedule has also been confirmed recently.

India Team Upcoming Matches Schedule

Team India was originally scheduled to tour Bangladesh immediately after the Test series in England.

However, due to rising political tensions between the two nations, the BCCI decided to cancel the tour. As a result, India has no international fixtures scheduled for August, leaving the month completely vacant.

This means Team India's next assignment after the England tour will be the group stage matches of Asia Cup 2025, starting from September 9 onwards, which will be hosted in the UAE.

After Asia Cup 2025, India will host West Indies for a two-match Test series, starting October 2, 2025, in Ahmedabad. The second and final Test of the series will be played in Kolkata, beginning on October 10.

Once India vs West Indies series gets over, South Africa will arrive in India for a multi-format tour. The Test leg of the series will start on November 14 in New Delhi, with the second Test to be played on November 22 in Guwahati.

In December, India vs South Africa series will continue with three ODIs followed by a five-match T20I series. The final T20I of the series is scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad, bringing an exciting end to the year for Team India.
