Sarfaraz Khan has left the cricket fraternity speechless with his jaw-dropping transformation, shedding a massive 17 kilos in just over a month. Sarfaraz Khan now looks leaner, sharper, and almost unrecognizable in his latest social media post.
For years, critics pointed fingers at Sarfaraz Khan’s fitness despite his mountain of runs in the domestic cricket. But now, the Mumbaikar has silenced every doubter with a stunning lifestyle change. His stunning transformation was inspired by that of the iconic cricketer Virat Kohli.
The 27-year-old batter has completely changed his diet and routine. His father, Naushad Khan, has recently spilled the beans on the drastic change of the cricketer’s fitness. He revealed Sarfaraz follows a strict menu of grilled chicken, boiled eggs, green tea, avocados, and salads.
He has stopped eating traditional Indian food like rice and roti. The Indian batter has also cut out sugar, flour, and bakery items completely, and now he plans to lose even more weight and keep going with his fitness journey.

Naushad Khan was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times: “We have controlled our diet a lot. We have stopped eating roti, rice, etc. We haven’t eaten roti or rice at home for 1 to 1.5 months. We eat broccoli, carrots, cucumber, salad, and green vegetable salad. Along with that, we eat grilled fish, grilled chicken, boiled chicken, boiled eggs, etc.
We are also having green tea and green coffee. We also eat avocados. There are sprouts also. But the main thing is that we have stopped eating roti and rice. We have stopped eating sugar. We have stopped eating maida (flour) and bakery items. He has almost lost 10 kgs within 1.5 months. He is working on reducing his weight even further.”
Sarfaraz Khan was not picked for the ongoing five-match Test series in England after a couple of failures against New Zealand at home last year. However, he was part of the Australia tour but didn’t get a single game during India’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy hammering.
The right-hander was part of the India A squad for the recent unofficial Test series against the England Lions. He played a brilliant knock of 92 runs from just 119 balls in the first match at Canterbury, hitting 13 boundaries in his quick-fire innings.
Sarfaraz Khan had made his Test debut for India in February 2024 against England. Since then, he has played six tests and scored 371 runs at an average of 37.10.

Meanwhile, back in 2007, Virat Kohli had revealed his diet, saying that his meals are carefully planned throughout the day. Speaking on the show Breakfast with Champions, Kohli revealed that he eats an omelette made with three egg whites and one whole egg for his breakfast.
Along with that, the former Indian captain adds some spinach with black pepper and cheese and some grilled bacon or smoked salmon. If fruits like papaya, watermelon, or dragon fruit are available, Kohli loves to have them as well. He likes to have cheese for healthy fats and even carries his own butter.
Kohli had added, “I carry my own butter, and I get gluten-free bread from the hotels. A nice big pot of green tea with lemon. I drink 3-4 cups of that. When our (Team India) trainer, Mr. Basu, tells me to put on a bit of muscle, then I increase red meat; otherwise, generally for lunch, it is grilled chicken and mashed potatoes, spinach and veggies, and for dinner, it’s seafood.”
