Delhi: A cycle of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) is of two years, in which the world’s top Test teams play a series among themselves. During this time, the ranking of teams is fixed based on the marks received.

The final match is played between the top-2 teams in the points table at the end of two years.

Three finals have been done, now preparations for fourth

So far, three finals of the World Test Championship have been played and the special thing is that all three matches have been held on the soil of England. Currently, the fourth cycle of WTC continues, whose final will be played in the year 2027.

ICC’s big decision – England get hosting

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made a big announcement during its annual meeting in Singapore.

The ICC informed that the World Test Championships of 2027, 2029 and 2031 have been handed over to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). This means that the next three WTC finals will be held in England itself.

Earlier there were discussions that the WTC 2027 finals could be held in India, but after this decision of ICC, all these speculation has come to an end.

It has become clear from the ICC’s decision that in the coming years, the biggest match of Test cricket i.e.

WTC final will be played on England’s soil. Cricket lovers will now be waiting for the fourth final to be held in 2027, which will be played in England once again.
