Shoaib Bashir Rules out of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025: The third Test match of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 was played from 10 July to 14 July at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The team’s chief off -spinner Shoaib Bashir is now out of the remaining matches of the series. Bashir has a fracture in his left hand finger, whose surgery will be done till the end of this week.

How was the injury in Bashir’s finger?

Shoaib Bashir suffered an injury during India’s first innings on the third day of Lord’s Test. He was injured while diving to catch Ravindra Jadeja’s ball. The incident took place in the 78th over. After this, Bashir went out of the ground and then did not return to bowl.

However, in England’s second innings, Shoaib Bashir landed to bat and he scored two runs in nine balls. In most parts of the fifth day, he stayed away from the field, but when India’s lower order disturbed England, the captain expressed confidence in him again. He did not disappoint the team and gave England a memorable victory with Mohammad Siraj’s last wicket.

Who will be the option of Bashir?

Now in the absence of Shoaib Bashir, England will have to seek his option. There is a possibility that Jack Leach may be called to the team again. Apart from this, Rehan Ahmed, Liam Dawson and Tom Hartley are also involved in the selection race.
