Joe Root completed his century as soon as he scored a run on the second day of the second Test against India.
He had remained unbeaten on 99 runs at the end of Day 1, and with a boundary off Jasprit Bumrah’s very first delivery on Day 2, he reached the milestone.
This was another masterclass from Root, who continues to shine in Test cricket. But lately, it’s not just his performance with the bat that’s making headlines — his earnings and net worth are also drawing attention.
As per media reports, Joe Root’s net worth is estimated to be between $3 million and $10 million (roughly ₹25 crore to ₹80 crore) as of 2025.
Apart from cricket, brand endorsements and franchise leagues have significantly contributed to his financial success.
Root holds a central contract with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), earning him an annual salary between £130,000 and £180,000 (approximately ₹1.5 crore) as a red-ball specialist.
In addition to his base salary, Root receives a match fee for every Test, which further adds to his annual income.
While he is not a regular in the IPL, he has earned decent money playing for Rajasthan Royals.
He also takes part in England’s domestic franchise league, The Hundred, where he earns thousands of pounds each season.Over the years, Joe Root has endorsed multiple popular brands, including New Balance, Vitality Health, Brut Perfume, and Brewin Dolphin.
His endorsement earnings are estimated to range from $1 million to $2 million annually (around ₹8 crore to ₹16 crore).
Despite his impressive net worth, Root is known for his simple lifestyle. He owns a luxury car like a Range Rover, but prefers living quietly with his family, unlike some of his more flamboyant contemporaries.
