Delhi: Former England captain Geoffrey Boycott has strongly criticized Chris Woakes and Jack Croly for a poor performance in the first two matches of the Test series against India. He said that the best round of Vox is now left behind and Croans are not able to learn from their mistakes.

Chris Woakes is a veteran England fast bowler and has played 59 Test matches so far. In the current series against India, he bowled 82 overs in two matches, but he got only three wickets. At the same time, he could not leave a special impact in batting. He scored a total of 50 runs in three innings, with his highest score of 38.

Boycott responds to Volks-Crool’s performance

Boycott wrote in his column in the UK newspaper The Telegraph, “When a player’s best time passes, his performance falls. Maintaining such players in the team causes a loss.”

He further said, “Chris Woakes’s bowling no longer has the same pace. As the age increases, it is sure to happen. Vox has never been a successful bowlers in foreign countries. His record there is also very bad.”

Boycott believes that Vox has a good performance in England and when the batsmen fail, they are expected to contribute with the bat. But, his real work is bowling and he is no longer effective in that role.

Boycott’s stance on Jack Croly also was strict. He said that Crlay may not be better now. Croly has scored only one half -century against India in four innings.

Boycott said, “I don’t think they can change themselves or do better. The real game of batting is from the mind. The mind determines which shot to play, which ball to leave. There are deep flaws in both the technology and thinking of the Croly.”

The England team is constantly being criticized as the team’s performance in the initial matches against India was not as expected. In such a situation, experienced players are also under pressure.
