But Akash Deep broke the partnership by dismissing Harry Brook with a new ball in the third session. Nevertheless, Harry Brook and Smith had registered their names in the record book.

Until the second session of the third day of the second match being played between India and England, Harry Brook and Jamie Smith harassed the Indian bowlers. But when the new ball came in the third session, Akash Deep sent Harry Brook to the pavilion. In the 82.2th over, Akash Deep broke the longer partnership by bowling Brook. The ball was also tremendous, came inside from outside the off stump. Brook played outside, but the ball came in and hit the stump directly. The internal edge of the bat did not even felt and the brook became clean bold.
