The much awaited three -match ODI series between India and Bangladesh to be held in August 2025 will no longer be played. According to official information, the series was to be held in Bangladesh from August 17, but now it has been canceled.
Discussions were going on between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the last few weeks. However, both the boards now came to the conclusion that it would be right to postpone the series at the moment. The reasons for cancellation are said to be logistic challenges, players’ workload management and busyness of other tournaments.
This series would be India’s first bilateral foreign series after T20 World Cup 2025, in which many young players were expected to get a chance. The Bangladesh team was also ready to challenge India on the home ground, but now the cricket lovers will have to wait for this clash and lengthen.
BCCI sources say that the cricket boards of the two countries can consider re -schedules this series in future. Currently, the players will be focused on the upcoming international programs and domestic tournaments.
The cancellation of the Indo-Bangladesh ODI series has made fans disappointed, but both the boards are hoping to return with the new schedule soon.
