Lucknow: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were face to face in the match played in Chepauk on Tuesday. In this match, Lucknow registered an incredible victory by 6 wickets on the basis of the century innings of star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis. After scoring a century in this match, Stoinis revealed the advice given by former CSK captain MS Dhoni, with the help of which he played this innings. Stoinis says that Dhoni had advised him to keep everything simple, which helped him a lot.

Actually, Lucknow registered an amazing victory in this match because CSK loses on very rare occasions in its home ground i.e. Chennai. Apart from this, the team captained by KL Rahul achieved the huge target of 211 runs and handed Chennai a crushing defeat. After the match ended, Lucknow shared a video on its official X account, in which Stoinis revealed the conversation he had with Dhoni.

He said, “MS Dhoni told me one thing that in big matches everyone thinks that I have to do something extra, something different. Even on such occasions, things should be kept simple. This is their mantra and this is where they live. He is still exactly the same and says that everyone else will change but I will not change and this is the thing that makes Dhoni different.

The 34-year-old played a brilliant innings in that match against Chennai and single-handedly led his team to victory. In this match, the right-handed batsman faced 63 balls and played an unbeaten inning of 124 runs with the help of 13 fours and 6 sixes. The result of this inning was that LSG defeated CSK by 6 wickets. Apart from this, it was the first century of Stoinis's IPL career.
