Mohammed shami case: Indian cricket star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has suffered a major setback. The Calcutta High Court has given its verdict in a case to his separate wife Haseen Jahan and daughter Aira. The decision has come on a petition filed under the ‘Protection of Women from Domestic Violence’.
The Calcutta High Court has ordered Mohammed Shami to give a living of Rs 4 lakh to his wife and daughter every month. Out of this amount, Rs 1.5 lakh will be received by Hasin Jahan, while his daughter Aira will get 2.5 lakh rupees. The Supreme Court of Kolkata ruled the verdict, while the district court has ordered Shami to give his wife Rs 50,000 to his wife and Rs 80,000 to the daughter every month.
Haseen Jahan had demanded compensation of Rs 7 lakh for himself and Rs 3 lakh per month for the daughter.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, in the order passed on 1 July, the court said, “In my view, petitioner number 1 (wife) would be appropriate and appropriate to ensure financial stability for both petitioners, Rs 1,50,000 per month and his daughter Rs 2,50,000 per month.”
The court also said that if Mohammed Shami wants, he can pay more for his daughter’s education and other expenses.
Haseen Jahan was a model before marriage and has also been a cheerleader of Kolkata Knight Riders. He married cricketer Mohammed Shami in 2014. In 2015, both became parents of a daughter. But in 2018, Haseen Jahan made serious allegations against Mohammed Shami like domestic violence, dowry harassment and match fixing. He claimed that Shami received money from a Pakistani woman. It also alleged that Shami stopped sending money for his expenses, which made him difficult to run the family.
