Stoinis conquers CSK’s fortress
Marcus Stoinis delivered a stunning performance to lead Lucknow Super Giants to a historic victory over Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk stadium. His whirlwind knock of 124 runs off just 62 balls powered LSG’s record-breaking chase of 211 runs, silencing the home crowd. Stoinis’ heroics marked the highest individual score while chasing in IPL history and the highest score ever against CSK.
His century paved the way for LSG’s incredible win, which was also the highest successful run chase ever achieved at Chepauk. Stoinis single-handedly took the game away from CSK as the Lucknow-side accomplished the unimaginable feat of defeating Chennai in their own den.
