Team India may suffer a major setback in the ongoing Test series between India and England. Jasprit Bumrah, who took five wickets in the headingley Test, is now almost certain that Edgbaston will be out of the Test. Indian team management is very cautious about their workload and for this reason Bumrah can be rested from the second Test.
During the net session in Birmingham on Monday afternoon, Bumrah did not openly bowl, while Mohammad Siraj, famous Krishna, Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep were seen practicing fiercely. Bumrah bowled lightly in the last part of the session.
According to reporters present at Edgbaston, there was a long -intensive conversation between Bumrah and head coach Gautam Gambhir. This conversation gave a clear indication that Bumrah would not play Edgbaston Test. Gambhir also confirmed that Bumrah would play only three Tests after the defeat in Headingley.
Gautam Gambhir had said after the first Test match, “Bumrah’s workload management is more important for us, because there is a lot of cricket even further. We know what they bring for the team.”
In the absence of Bumrah, playing of Siraj and famous is considered to be almost fixed. Now the real question in front of Gautam Gambhir is that as the third fast bowler, who should be given a chance to Akash Deep or Arshdeep Singh. Both players will have pressure to fill the place of Jasprit Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah is a prominent bowler for the Indian team. In the first Test too, he took 5 wickets while performing brilliantly. In SENA countries, he holds the record for the highest five wicket hall as an Asian bowler. In such a situation, their absence will definitely eat the Indian team, because without them the bowling attack seems quite weak.
