Lucknow: Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has selected Team India's playing eleven for the T20 World Cup 2024. He has included some surprising names during this period, while keeping star all-rounder Hardik Pandya out of the final eleven. So for the opening batsman, Sehwag has chosen young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal before Shubman Gill, who has recently scored a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The former Indian cricketer has given the captaincy of the team to Rohit Sharma, while Virat Kohli has also been made a part of his team.
There are many players who are struggling to make a place in the team for the T20 World Cup. Despite good performance, he may be shown the way out of the squad. However, now it will be interesting to see which players are given a chance but before that, Sehwag while talking on Club Parry Fire YouTube channel has selected his playing eleven for the World Cup.

He has kept Jaiswal to open with Rohit, while Kohli will be seen batting at number three. Suryakumar Yadav for fourth place, while he has chosen wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant for fifth place. Apart from this, the former player has kept either Rinku Singh or Shivam Dubey for the sixth position. He says that Dubey is striking brilliantly in IPL 2024, while Rinku has performed well for India and has not got much opportunities in IPL 2024 so far.
Sehwag has chosen Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav as spinners, while the fast bowling will be led by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Sandeep Sharma. The surprising thing here is that they have included Sandeep, who last played for India in 2015 and was not given a chance since then. Apart from this, he has included Hardik in the team but he says that Pandya may have to struggle to make a place in the playing eleven.
